Police Say Woman, Teen Argued Over Man

POSTED: Wednesday, April 12, 2006

A 16-year-old Lake Orion girl was stabbed in the chest during an argument on a basketball court at an Auburn Hills school Tuesday night.

The teenager and a 24-year-old Lake Orion woman were arguing over a man when the woman allegedly stabbed the girl in the chest, according to police. The fight occurred outside Will Rogers Elementary School at about 6 p.m., police said.

The 16-year-old girl -- whose name was not released -- suffered a serious wound and was brought to a hospital by friends, police said. She was expected to make a full recovery, Local 4 reported.

The incident was not related to a school function, police said.

Police have not made any arrests. Anyone with information should contact Auburn Hills police at (248) 370-9444.
