FLINT, Mich. -

Authorities in Flint say an 87-year-old woman was reportedly beaten and sexually assaulted during a daylight robbery at her home.

The Flint Journal and WEYI-TV report the woman was bringing in groceries around midday Monday when she was forced into the home and attacked.

Her family reports that she was taken to an area hospital.

Flint police are investigating.

Information about a possible suspect wasn't immediately released.
