90-year-old man stabbed multiple times on Detroit's east side

No forced entry to home, police say

DETROIT – A 90-year-old man is in critical condition after police said he was stabbed multiple times Saturday at 6659 Fischer St.

Detroit police said emergency medical service personnel arrived to the residence to find the man with stab wounds to his chest and abdominal area. He was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital in critical condition.

Police said an officer at the scene reported that the dining room and kitchen area were bloody.

Police said the man lives alone, the home was not ransacked and there was no forced entry.

No other details were immediately released.
