Utica City Hall Drying After Water Damage

Operation To Remain Closed Through Wednesday

POSTED: Monday, June 5, 2006

Utica City Hall experienced water damage over the weekend after heavy rain came through unsecured repairs.

Roofers who were working on the building didn't secure the repairs before leaving for the weekend. The ceiling, floors, carpeting and many documents were damaged when the water came through, Local 4 reported.

Crews are working to dry the wet mess and officials said City hall could stay closed through Wednesday.

City Hall employees said that if you have business before Wednesday to call and make arrangements. For more information, call 586-739-1600.
