A machine gun was stolen from an unmarked police car Wednesday night.
Someone broke into the patrol car, which belonged to an off-duty West Bloomfield officer, and stole a 9 mm Colt machine gun, according to police. The car was parked on Woodward Avenue while the officer was at the Detroit Tigers game.
Investigators said the weapon appeared to be the only item stolen from the patrol car.
Police are trying to track down the weapon.
