DETROIT -- Police are searching for a group of gunmen who opened fire on a group of people in a neighborhood on Detroit's east side Tuesday night.
Three of the victims were listed in critical condition at St. John Hospital, Local 4 reported. A man who was grazed by a bullet was expected to be OK, and a 5-year-old boy who was grazed on the wrist was also expected to recover.
The shooting occurred on Annott Street just before 10 p.m., Local 4 reported. Witness DeShawn Gibbs said he heard about nine gunshots.
Police said several men were in a car parked on the street when three other men approached and opened fire. As many as a dozen shots may have been fired, police said.
Investigators believe the shooters arrived on foot and fled on foot.
Deputy Chief James Tate said police were speaking with witnesses, who said the three shooters were wearing masks.
Anyone with information on the shooting should call police or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
