A truck hit electrical wires, prompting a utility pole to fall in Southfield on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in a small fire and power outages, according to authorities.The pole fell onto two vehicles in a parking lot at Telegraph and Nine Mile roads, according to Sky 4 at the scene. A transformer on the pole caught fire, which fire crews said was burning out.DTE Energy crews were called to the scene, according to the Southfield Fire Department.A nearby business, Maxitrol, was forced to evacuate, the Fire Department said. About 500 customers in the area were left without electricity, Local 4 reported.Southfield Fire Department Chief Peter Healy said the situation is under control.
