POSTED: Tuesday, September 5, 2006
UPDATED: 12:36 pm EDT September 5, 2006

The adoptive father of 7-year-old Ricky Holland, the Lansing-area boy who was reported missing by his family and later found dead, has pleaded guilty to the boy's murder, Local 4 reported.

Tim Holland, along with his wife Lisa, are both charged with felony murder and child abuse in the death of Ricky Holland (pictured), according to Local 4 reports. Tim Holland pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Tuesday morning.

In January, Tim Holland led authorities to Ricky's body in a wooded area near Dansville in rural Ingham County. At the time of his disappearance from his Williamston home in July 2005, Ricky's parents told police they believed he had run away.
