Angela Venditti of Shelby Township is crowned Miss Michigan 2012
Former Miss St. Clair Shores won the 2012 Miss Michigan Pageant in Muskegon Saturday
Twenty-four-year-old Angela Venditti of Shelby Township has won the 2012 Miss Michigan Pageant.
Venditti, as Miss St. Clair Shores, received her crown on Saturday night at the Frauenthal Center for Performing Arts in Muskegon during the final evening of competition. She bested some 30 other contestants and also won a $10,000 scholarship and the opportunity to compete in the next Miss America pageant.

The Muskegon Chronicle also reported runners-up from first through fourth respectively were: Shelby Gardiner, 19, of St. Clair Shores, who won a $4,000 scholarship; Kelly Oles, 24, of Oxford, a $4,000 scholarship; Sarah Suydam, 22, of St. Clair Shores, a $3,000 scholarship; and Alexa Allor, 20, of Monroe, a $2,000 scholarship.
Venditti's platform was, "Above the Influence: Keeping Kids Drug Free."
