DETROIT – Attendance for Detroit Public schools was reported Friday after the first week came to a close.
Emergency manager Roy Roberts says attendance Wednesday, the 2nd day of the new school year, was at nearly 85%.

Attendance was nearly 74,000 more students than the first day on classes on Tuesday.
Roberts also pointed out 860 students have enrolled in DPS schools from out of district schools and nearly 700 students transferred from Charter Schools.
