The Detroit Zoo has introduced its newest members of the zoo family. The three baby river otter pups, named Slyde, Bobby and Emmy, made their public debut Thursday morning. It is the first time in 50 years that baby river pups have called the Detroit Zoo home.
SLIDESHOW: First look at the Detroit Zoo's otter pups
The otter pups, born March 20, slowly made their way out of their cave-like exhibit in front of an excited Detroit Zoo crowd.
Their mom, Whisker, pulled them into the pool in their Detroit Zoo habitat. Otters are natural swimmers and, with maternal supervision, pups quickly catch on.
