BabyHome USA recalls high chairs due to risk
"Eat" model chairs pose a risk of strangulation
BabyHome USA is recalling baby high chairs due to the risk of strangulation.
The front opening of the high chairs between the tray and seat can allow a child to pass through, but become entrapped at the neck. This can lead to strangulation when the child is not harnessed.
About 1,100 Eat model chairs are affected by this recall. The chairs come in red, black, green, purple, navy, orange and brown. The word “babyhome” is printed on one leg of the chair and the word “eat” is printed on the other leg. The model number BH2104 is located on a label on the back of the high chair. The recalled high chairs have lot numbers: BH00301/01-2012, BH00303/07-2012 and BH00304/09-2012. The lot numbers can be found on a sticker located on the bottom of the footrest.
No injuries have been reported.
Anyone with one of these high chairs should stop using them immediately and contact BabyHome USA to receive a free crotch restraint repair kit.
The high chairs were sold nationwide in stores and online at Amazon.com, Babiesrus.com and Diapers.com from March 2012 through February 2013 for about $150.
BabyHome USA can be reached toll-free at (888) 758-5712 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or online at babyhome.es and click on “Eat Recall” for more information.
