Barn fire closes Michigan Avenue in Canton Township

Fire breaks out at storage barn near Denton Road, Michigan Avenue in Canton Township

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Michigan Avenue was shut down between Denton and Beck roads Tuesday night as firefighters worked to douse flames at a landscaping business.

The fire broke out in a storage barn which belongs to Canton Topsoil. The company is closed for the season. No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters were working to contain the flames.

Michigan Avenue remained closed while crews cleaned up the area.
