Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders is set to cast his handprints and signature in cement for permanent exhibit at the Detroit Historical Society's Detroit Legends Plaza.
The former Detroit Lions great is scheduled to appear Tuesday at the Detroit Historical Museum for the casting event.
The planned Legends Plaza is an outdoor tribute to iconic Detroiters. It'll sit adjacent to the museum when it's unveiled this fall.
Sanders' impressions will join those of Local 4's own Carmen Harlan, Mayor Dave Bing, rocker Alice Cooper, Motown star Martha Reeves, author Elmore Leonard, Hall of Fame Tigers outfielder Al Kaline and other notable Detroiters.
