DETROIT -

A mentally ill Vietnam War veteran accused of planning to attack a Michigan mosque with fireworks is set to be sentenced.

Roger Stockham, of Imperial Beach, Calif., was arrested Jan. 24, 2011, outside the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn. He pleaded guilty to allegedly plotting to detonate powerful fireworks. He has said he only planned to spray-paint an anti-Iraq war message. However, his guilty plea was by reason of mentally ill.

His sentencing is April 20.

Stockham has several prior convictions and suffers from bipolar and post-traumatic stress disorders.
