The mission of the Ryan Lee Holland Cancer Foundation is to financially assist cancer patients in active treatment with medical expenses, doctor's visit copay, prescription copay, travel and parking expenses at hospitals for treatment. The non-profit organization was founded by Ryan's mother Jacqueline Holland in 2011 after her son lost his battle to cancer.

The purpose is to minimize the financial burden of all who are diagnosed with cancer so they may concentrate on whats important, "GETTING BETTER."

Ryan L. Holland:

The Ryan Lee Holland Cancer Foundation was created in honor of Ryan L. Holland. Ryan graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor's Degree in 2009. He had plans to attend medical school and some day become a doctor. However, Ryan was diagnosed with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) a hereditary colorectal cancer syndrome in February 2010, after a colonoscopy. FAP is an inherited condition in which numerous polyps form mainly in the large intestine. At the time of his diagnosis it was determined that the FAP had advanced to colon cancer. He endured chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but the disease metastasized to his liver. After 8 months of treatment at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, Ryan and his parents traveled to MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas every 3 weeks for treatment when his oncologist recommended an alternative treatment for his liver called HAI. After 4 months of HAI treatments Ryan passed away on March 1, 2011 at the age of 25. Ryan's faith was unshaken and his courage represents the true meaning of the human will and his spirit will live on through this foundation.
