If you’re heading to Cedar Point this year … you’ll notice something missing.

The popular amusement park has announced it’s getting rid of the “Wildcat” coaster.

In a statement, the park said “low ridership and increased maintenance costs” propelled the idea to remove the ride and recycle its parts before opening day – which is May 12.

The space where the Wildcat used to stand will be used in an expansion of Celebration Plaza.
