Police release surveillance pictures of robbers
Eastpointe police have released surveillance pictures of two people who robbed a ChecknGold on Gratiot Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the two entered the store just before 3 p.m. and one of them brandished a black semi-automatic pistol, forcing an employee to a back room and demanding money.
Police said the employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money and was then pushed to the ground by one of the robbers.
A K-9 was used to track the robbers, but they weren’t found.
Police said they think the robbers had a car waiting for them nearby.
Police descriptions of robbers:
1.White man in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build, had a black semi-automatic pistol. He was wearing a green jacket with light blue jeans and wore a white shirt or cloth over this head and face.
2. White man in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches, thin build. He was wearing a red, white and black plaid hoodie with blue jeans and wore a brown or black shirt over his face.
