CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Chesterfield police said they’ve arrested a man who is accused of violently robbing a woman Tuesday while she was paying for food in a drive-thru lane.

Police said Roland Lee Moore Jr. was taken into custody after a two-day manhunt.

He’s accused of lunging into a woman’s car while she was at the McDonald’s at 23 Mile Road and Interstate 94, grabbing her purse and laptop and stabbing her several times in her hands as she struggled with him.

A man who witnessed the attack chased Moore, but he rode away on a bike.

Police had released Moore’s picture and description to the public shortly after the incident. He is a parole absconder.

He is facing armed robbery and assault charges for the incident.
