Children in the hospital will get a chance to visit with Santa

New technology brings St. Nick to children who are unable to leave their rooms

DETROIT -

Children in the hospital during the holidays will now have a way to share their holiday wishes.

On Monday morning, DMC Children’s Hospital will use an iPad equipped with Cisco Jabber Software to allow Santa Claus to video chat with patients that do not feel well enough to leave their rooms.

This new technology allows Santa to travel room-to-room and communicate with children who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to visit with St. Nick.
