Clouds and showers start Detroit's cool down

Wet weather ahead of cooler weather

DETROIT – Early morning showers and storms mark the beginning of a virtualy cool-down Wednesday through Friday.  Hump Day's morning rush may be slow with rain that will be heavy at times with gusty winds and lightning.  Temperatures will start near 75 degrees.  The afternoon will have on and off showers and will not be as hot.  Highs will range from the low to high 80s.

Skies will clear Wednesday night with comfortable lows in the 60s.

Thursday and Friday will be delightful and dry with highs in the low 80s and lows in the 60s.  Detroiters can sleep with the windows open to cool their homes down and clear out their air.

The temperature roller coaster goes back up hill this weekend.  Saturday and Sunday will have daytime temperatures 90 degrees or more with mostly sunny skies.
