BRIGHTON, Mich. -

Police in Brighton are asking the public to be on the lookout for counterfeit cash.

Someone is passing the funny money at area stores after two fake $100 dollar bills were found over the weekend.

Officers say this type of crime is more common around the holiday shopping season.
