Crazy Woman Cookies changes woman's life
Savoring a dream: Crazy Woman Cookies changes Boyne City woman's life _ 1 cookie at a time
Sari King was 56 when her life flipped upside-down.
The Boyne City woman was divorced, diagnosed with breast cancer and working a dead-end job.
But King took her longtime love of helping others, wholesome foods and baking, and turned it into a new business venture: Crazy Woman Cookies.
King tells the Petoskey News-Review that when her daughter Jessie was in high school, the two worked on a fundraiser selling cookie dough. Later, they realized they could make the dough themselves. Years later, it's become reality.
Crazy Woman Cookies features 10 to 12 flavors depending on the season, including lemon cranberry, a chocolate chunk and a white chocolate cherry. They've also added muffins to the menu.
King says she just wants people to "take a moment to savor something."
