A chain-reaction wreck last week that killed three people on a slick Detroit freeway during a sudden snow squall involved 43 vehicles in a dozen separate crashes.
Michigan State Police continue to reconstruct Thursday's accidents along southbound Interstate 75 on Detroit's southwest side. The pileups included cars, SUVs and semi-trailers.

Police say the two crashes that claimed the lives of 9-year-old Gabrielle Greenwood of Windsor, Ontario, and her 7-year-old stepbrother Aidan Hicks, and the wreck that resulted in the death of 54-year-old Larry Manolis of Allen Park still were being investigated.
More than a dozen people also were injured.
The adult driver and a third child in the car from Canada were released Tuesday from a Detroit hospital. A woman in the car was in serious condition.
