Detroit Police Have 'Booty' Bus Impounded

DETROIT – Detroit police had the popular tailgating destination towed and impounded Monday night.

Police said investigators inspected the "Booty Lounge" bus and found it was illegally parked while it was attracting football fans during the Monday Night Football game in downtown Detroit.

Moreover, the bus driver did not have a license, police said.

Police also said the owners of the bus did not have the Michigan Department of Transportation inspect it for safety since it is considered a commercial vehicle.

The owner must show paperwork proving the bus has undergone the MDOT safety inspection to get the bus back.

Police said 20 other buses and limousines were inspected for minor violations during the tailgating.

Local 4 went undercover in the bus this past month and found men paying strippers for lap dances.
