Detroit firefighters battled a blaze inside a commercial building on the city's west side.

Crews were on the scene to combat the fames just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The building is located at Livernois Avenue and McGraw Street.

Firefighters also were busy early Wednesady morning battling a two-alarm fire at a wood pallet warehouse in southwest Detroit

Flames quickly spread through the 1,000 square foot building at Kemp Pallets at South Street and Green Street.

Employees who were inside the building when the fire broke out said they heard an explosion.
