DETROIT -

A 29-year-old Detroit man has been charged with shooting his girlfriend to death after turning himself into police.

Antoine L. Wilson is charged with first-degree murder, assault and felony weapon charges.

He's accused of showing up to 18-year-old Ajena Lashay Peavy's home on Garvin Street Saturday and shooting her several times on the porch. He's also accused of pointing the gun at her mother who had gone out to see what happened.

He then fled and police spent hours searching for him.

He turned himself in Sunday.

He's expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
