In EAA schools teachers will tailor their instruction to the needs of each individual student and students can personalize their education based on their academic progress, interests and needs. This individual attention will combine with an extended school year and an extended school day to assure that students have the time they need to improve their learning.
"The system is set up to enable each student to succeed at his or her own pace," said Covington. "Students who experience success are much more likely to stay in school and much less likely to have discipline problems because they stay engaged and are continually challenged in a constructive way."
Representatives from all key EAA school departments will attend the 15 open houses and parents will have the opportunity to take part in an open dialogue with EAA staff and get any information necessary to start the 2012-2013 school year. The EAA fun day with also offer giveaways, food and music.
