LANSING, Mich. -

The Michigan Historical Museum is inviting residents to leave a mark on the museum this weekend.

The Lansing museum is hosting a program Saturday for participants to explore different forms of street art, such as graffiti and collages. Organizers say participants will also have the chance to contribute to a room-sized art installation.

The "Street Art" event is part of the Michigan Historical Museum's Second Saturday Programs.  On the second Saturday of each month the museum hosts events that include hands-on activities or live performances "geared toward conservation and the arts."

   The programs run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Other planned Saturday programs include one on architecture in April when participants can design a building.

The prices for the Second Saturday Programs are included with museum admission.
