The sisters shared their inspiring story with Local 4's Brandon Roux who also has Type 1 Diabetes. They are all taking part in upcoming Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walks across Michigan.
The Ohmer family will be lacing up their shoes to join the fight and to find a cure on Sunday, September 23 at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter. Their team is called Naturally Sweet Sisters. Click here to see a video about their story.
