DETROIT -

This is the best forecast I have had for fireworks fans in all my years in Detroit!  Sunday's cold front blew in refreshingly dry air for Monday.  The morning will be clear and mild with temperatures in the upper 50s.  Monday afternoon will be a dream with sunny warm conditions and comfortable highs in the middle 70s.  Summer breezes will blow from northwest pretty high at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts.

Monday night will be fabulous for fireworks viewing.  The big event begins at 10:06pm and can be seen only on Local 4.  Families driving downtown will have dry roads and skies remain clear for kids and parents to see the spectacular specticle.  It will be breezy and cool off with temperatures falling into the 50s and 60s so bring an extra blanket for snuggling under a romantic sky.  Jackets or long-sleeve shirts may be needed, too.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be just as wonderful with it getting warmer then hotter.  Sunshine will reign with highs in the low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.  The heat returns with highs in the low 90s on Thursday.
