Gail Anderson has been a member of the Local 4 team since 1996. Although originally from Chicago, and West Palm Beach, Florida, Gail has been a Detroiter most of her life. Before Local 4, Gail reported news and/or traffic for WWJ, WJR, and WCHB, all in Metro Detroit.
Dedicated to anchoring weekend traffic and weekday fill-in at Local 4 News, she also keeps her weekdays busy with various entreprenurial ventures and volunteer organizations.
Founder of "Modified Style and Beauty", a home remodeling company, and a licensed realtor, Gail is also president of a fitness and nutrition program for children, designed to promote a healthy lifestyle for today's "tweens".
If all of that isn't enough, Gail always finds the time to devote to volunteer services. She established The Jalyn Foundation in 2003, an organization committed to building confidence, educational opportunity, and personal enrichment for inner-city youth. Through her foundation, Gail has provided scholarships, mentoring programs, a grocery assistance program, as well as bridging the gap between students and business leaders.
Gail admits that her absolute greatest joy is raising and spending time with her young daughter Jalyn.
