The Michigan Department of Transportation didn’t wait until spring to kick off a new project in Macomb County.

Starting Monday, more than three miles of Groesbeck Highway will get an upgrade.

Project breakdown:

The project will be broken up into two phases. Crews will work on southbound M-97 first, followed by northbound.

Not only will Groesbeck Hwy. get resurfaced the project includes drainage and utility upgrades.

If you live, work or drive through parts of Fraser & Warren during this project, expect multiple lane closures on nights and weekends.
