Detroit police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a man Monday night on the city's west side.

Police said the victim, who was in his 50s, was ambushed, robbed and killed just after 9 p.m. in the 4500 block of Avery.

The gunman was armed with an assault weapon and is still on the loose.
