A Detroit-area man has been charged with fatally shooting two Battle Creek men in Albion nearly four years ago.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports Thomas Paris is named in a warrant alleging he killed 28-year-old Ryan Erwin and 20-year-old Henry Williams on July 26, 2009.
The victims were shot in a parking lot, where police said they'd gone to watch a basketball tournament.
Paris was named in a warrant issued in December. Albion police Chief Scott Kipp says the warrant announcement was withheld because of the nature of the case and the threat Paris posed.
The 42-year-old from Highland Park is being held in the Wayne County jail on charges from a shooting in Detroit.
It's not known when Paris will be returned to Calhoun County for arraignment.
