Protesters expected in front of GM headquarters on Wednesday

Detroit – Solidarity Protest for Hunger Strikers are set to protest General Motors on Wednesday demanding immediate negotiations.

National organizations are demanding General Motors negotiate with the Association of Injured and Ex-Workers of General Motors Columbia.

It's president, Jorge Parra, sewed his mouth shut on November 20th and is currently on a hunger strike while his health deteriorates each day.

Parra's fellow workers have continued their 15 month long tent occupation outside the United States embassy in Bogota, Columbia.

A separate protest is also planned Wednesday outside the United States State Department in Washington, DC.
