Inkster Judge Sylvia James was found guilty of misusing court funds.

A Washtenaw County judge appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court issued the ruling against Judge James.

The ruling determined Judge James used money from the court on items including bonus pay, charitable donations and catering.

Judge James was suspended last year.

She claimed the allegations against her were political. She was found guilty on seven ethics counts.

James now is facing expulsion from office.

A public court hearing on the ruling will be held next month.

James is the only judge who sits on the 22nd District Court.
