The imposed 10 percent wage cuts on Detroit police and fire is no longer in effect.

Ingham County Judge Paula Manderfield struck down two sections of the consent agreement on Wednesday between the state of Michigan and the city.

The two sections were declared void because they violated the emergency manager law, the judge said.

Manderfield plans to grant a stay pending an appeal by the state. According to reports, the state plans to appeal because the judge had no jurisdiction to issue the order.
