A downtown Lansing alley and sidewalk have been closed after bricks fell from the facade of a 10-story building, causing a natural gas line leak.
The Lansing State Journal reports bricks fell Saturday afternoon from the Capitol Hall building into the alley.
No injuries were reported. The cause wasn't immediately known.
Lansing Fire Department spokesman Steve Babcock says the falling bricks damaged a gas meter on a building near Capitol Hall, causing the leak.
The gas leak was contained on Saturday. CMS Energy Corp.'s Consumers Energy unit says the damaged meter was replaced.
