With thirteen county program's on the verge of shutting down, the Macomb County Board of Commissioners adopted a second version of the county's budget for the new fiscal year.
On Friday, the office of County Executive Mark Hackel threatened to shut down the key county programs, including Juvenile Justice Center and the county's foster program, if the county's board of commissioners did not approve the budget for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
The board must approve a budget by October 1, according to the county's charter.
On Saturday, the board held a special meeting to adopt the county's approximately $364.5 million Special Revenue and Enterprise Funds budget.
