MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -

Macomb County government leaders laid out plans Wednesday for a new state-of-the-art operations and communications center that will be the first of its kind in Michigan.

Count Executive Mark Hackel and other top county officials displayed the plans for the $10 Million center during a news conference today.

The center will combine services for fire, police, and EMS dispatch along with the county roads department, and emergency management.

Hackel said local and federal funds will pay for the center which will open in the fall of 2013.
