Man Arrested In 2006 Scio Township Death

SCIO TOWNSHIP, Mich. – It has been five years since Sam Kenney died from injuries suffered during a robbery at the Jim Bradley Dealership in Scio Township.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department has arrested for the second time in connection with Kenney's death 46-year-old Shane Noel Roscoe.

Roscoe was released due to lack of evidence after he was first arrested. He was a technician at the same dealership and maintains his innocence.

"I understand (someone) surprised (Kenney) and hit him and attacked him, drove over him with the car," said Don Bradley, who worked at the dealership. "Sam didn't deserve that."

New evidence in the case is what has led to Roscoe's latest arrest.

He is being held in the Washtenaw County Jail without bail. A preliminary exam is scheduled for later this month.

Roscoe ran for Putnum Township supervisor in 2006. He lost.
