A man has died after a fire and explosion at his mobile home in Romulus.

The fire broke out about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Romulus.

Romulus Fire Lt. John Thiede said the man was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead.

No one else was hurt.

Thiede said investigators still haven't determined the case of the fire, but are looking into whether an oxygen tank was a factor. He said the man was a known smoker and battling an illness.

The man's name wasn't immediately released.
