Man quits job over 'sign of the beast' on W-2
Walter Slonopas, 'I cannot accept this number because it's the number of Satan'
Call it superstitious, call it crazy, but a Tennessee man believes it's simply God calling on him to defend his faith.
After repeated work and personal documents showed up with the numbers 6-6-6, the Clarksville man quit his job and now refuses to file his tax returns. Walter Slonopas, "I cannot accept this number because it's the number of Satan."
Slonopas quit his job because of his W-2 tax form well this part of it, anyway. Right on the envelope: 666 - the mark of the beast.
Reading a passage from the book of Revelations Slonopas says 666 is not just a number and it's been seemingly following him for a while. When he first started working at Contech Casting two years ago Slonopas says his number for the clock-in system was 666. In July it was 666 again .
He says this has to be more than a coincidence. He believes it is an omen
"I cannot do taxes with this number. It's important for me because I am Christian and cannot accept this number. As a God believer I cannot accept the number of Satan." And that's for anything. Slonopas says he wouldn't have a 666 on his license plate on an address as part of a phone number nowhere. Even if his work offered to take him back, he's too weary of having another brush with the mark of the beast.
Walter says he doesn't blame anyone at work for the three times 666 has turned up. Instead, he says he's moving on and he's currently on the hunt for a new job.
