A new law recently signed by Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder paves the way for the public to continue having direct access to bear cubs at Oswald's Bear Ranch in Newberry, Mich.
The new law allows contact with cubs up to 90 pounds and 36 weeks old.
The old law covering animals like lions, tigers and bears restricted contact to no older than 20 weeks.
The upper peninsular bear ranch has been rescuing and educating the public about the animals since 1997. Currently, they have 29 bears on site.
