Women who want to learn about fishing in the Great Lakes for king and coho salmon, steelhead and lake trout can get lessons aboard a Ludington charter boat.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says it will offer a six-hour fishing charter trip designed specifically for women on July 21.
Ludington Charter Service-Raptor Charters will provide all necessary equipment and show participants what to do.
The DNR says anglers should bring their own cooler, food, beverages, camera, sunscreen, sunglasses and nonslip footwear. They also must hold a valid fishing license.
Cost for the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program is $125, with enrollment limited to 12. The class is expected to fill up quickly.
