Two Michigan nonprofits are teaming up to create what they're calling a "celebration of Detroit's literary arts community."
The InsideOut Literary Arts Project and 826michigan are presenting the event Feed Your Soul on April 20. It will include readings and workshops by accomplished poets including national student poet Natalie Richardson and Detroit's Poet Laureate Naomi Long Madgett.
The event will be held at the Woodward Avenue branch of the Detroit Public Library.
It's one of several events nationwide this month coinciding with National Poetry Month and involving the nation's inaugural class of five student poets.
