Authorities say the organizer of a concert straddling Midland and Gladwin counties will drop the volume after residents complained the music was too loud.
Midland Sheriff Jerry Nielsen tells The Midland Daily News that the StereoTerra Music Festival organizer said the volume would down to 30 percent Friday night.
The festival started Thursday in Edenville Township, about 117 miles northwest of Detroit, and is to end Sunday.
About 30 noise complaints were made late Thursday night and the volume was turned down by 11 p.m.
Music was scheduled to end by 10 p.m., but has been extended to give each band an allotted time to perform.
Nielsen says the organizer "wants to make this work."
About 2,600 people attended Thursday and 4,000 were expected Friday.
