DETROIT -

Tuesday morning will be cool and dry with temperatures in the low 50s. Only things needed will be a pair of sunglasses and maybe a working car heater. Any heaters will not be needed for long because a good warm-up will welcome Detroiters in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s as people head back to the pool and ponds.

Tuesday night will be mild and clear with lows near 60.

Wednesday will keep the warming trend with highs venturing into the middle and upper 80s.  Thursday will be hotter with highs in the middle 90s.  Friday will be hot, too, but with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms as daytime temps go above 90 degrees.

The weekend will be sunnier but not as hot with highs in the 80s.
