Macomb Twp. driver has life threatening injuries after losing control of motorcycle

DETROIT -

Michigan State Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that shut down the east bound ramp of I-94 heading to I-96 just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the motorcyclist lost control for unknown reasons and crashed.

The driver, a male in his 50’s from Macomb Twp. was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police are still attempting to notified his family.

The ramp was reopened shortly after 7 a.m.

Police say the driver was not wearing a helmet and it is still unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the accident.
